Complete Count Committees are being formed throughout the state of Minnesota by local governments and community residents to coordinate efforts to promote the 2010 Census. A Complete Count Committee may be comprised of:
Complete Count Committees can be representative of more than one city or jurisdiction and may be structures to focus on specific ethnic groups or communities because of special needs, such as language, etc.Complete Count Committees should be a representation of the city, township, or community that they represent. As such, Complete Count Committees bring together diverse partnerships between local government, education, faith, media, non-profit, and business community members.
CCCs incorporate local knowledge, influence, outreach and resources to educate residents and promote the census. In Minnesota this will include activities related to:
Complete Count Committees have proven to be the best way to reach out to people in our state to ensure that everyone is counted! The more aware residents are about the 2010 Census the more comfortable they will feel about the census process, making them more willing to be a part of a successful count.
Cities and communities interested in establishing Complete Count Committees can take advantage of the following resources to support and target their community outreach efforts.
Complete Count Committee Orientation Handbook: Detailed strategy document for Complete Count Committee members. Provides a general overview of the CCC, including its mission and other relevant facts for local leaders.
Congress has allotted funding for the Partnership Support Program (PSP) to help support outreach and promotional efforts among 2010 Census Partners in their communities. Funds are provided to assist outreach activities that are part of an existing, productive 2010 Census partnership. To request and apply for this funding source please contact your local U.S. Census Bureau Partnership Specialist.

Contact your local government to join their Complete Count Committee. If your city, township, or community doesn’t have a Complete Count Committee we can help you establish one and begin work on the 2010 Census immediately!
